Thank you for your interest in Call Josephine Pet Sitting Services!  We take
pride in providing a fun, safe, enjoyable experience for your dogs and cats.

Our primary policy is to safely and correctly care for your pet in the comfort of your
home and while on an adventure hike, off-leash or on.  We have an excellent safety
record, due to our choice of working intimately with a small pack on a regular
basis.  Thus, our dogs become acquainted with one another and organically create
a pack order each time we’re on an outing!

For cats, there is a one-time in home consultation to get to know whether your cats
are indoor and/or outdoor, have free range of your residence, have special food
and health needs, and of course, if they play, what their favorite toys are!  We will
discuss specific details regarding your cat’s care during our consultation.

For dogs, we require a three part assessment for an initial evaluation for adventure
hikes.

Step 1:
After arranging a time to meet for approximately an hour in the comfort of
your home with your dog present, we’ll fill out important details regarding your
dog's vet/health info, diet, temperament, and any other details regarding your dog's
history.

Step 2:
After the initial in-home consultation,  your dog will ride privately in our car to our
daycare destination!   We do this to establish trust between your dog and us.  After
your dog rides to our home, we’re able to assess how he/she does with car
manners as well as his/her comfort level once at daycare and around our pack.
Part two of the evaluation takes approximately 90-120 minutes.

Step 3:
The final phase of the adventure hike/daycare assessment is complete once we
are confident that your socialized dog is capable of obeying commands both off-
leash and on, in the car, at daycare, and on outings.  Once the aforementioned has
been established, we can move forward with FUN!

For private one-on-one leash walks, only Step 1 of the consultation is required.

It’s essential for all cats and dogs to be current on their vaccinations, and we’re
open to special circumstances.  Topical flea control and heartworm medications
may be required.  We adhere to cat and dog laws, both in San Mateo and Santa
Clara Counties.  Please review the following links…

Our Environment:
We’re proud to be a green company, and have been 80% paperless since 2007!
We use recycled poop bags (locally made by a family business), drive a hybrid
vehicle,  and invoice our clients via email biweekly.

Scheduling:
Like most companies that provide in-home services, we also require a window for
our doggie pick-up and drop-off, as well as our in-home cat visits.  For our
adventure hikes, we pick up our dogs M-F, 8-10 A.M.  During Standard time, we
drop off our dogs approximately at 3 P.M.  During Daylight Savings time, we will
drop off between 5-6 P.M., since we're enjoying the sunlit weather!  For cats, our
morning and evening visits vary, within a 2 hour window, unless medications need
to be administered at specific times.

Cancellation policy:
Our cancellation policy requires an email, phone call or text to cancel walks, visits,
boarding or daycare.  We appreciate a 48 hour notice,  excluding weekends.

We provide service on all major holidays unless otherwise noted.

Weather policy:
Safety is our number one concern.  Depending on the season, breed, age, and
health of your dog,  we appreciate you entrusting us with making the best decision
regarding your dog’s comfort and safety.  We may require shorter dog walks or
alternative to indoor play if this is the case.

Thank you again for your interest in Call Josephine Pet Sitting Services!  We look
forward to meeting with you and your pet soon.
