Thanks for visiting Call Josephine Pet Sitting Services! We’re proud to be entering our seventh year in business! I started CJPSS naturally after realizing that I’ve been looking after friends, families and colleagues pets while earning my degree in Media Theory and Cultural Analysis. For the first five years of our business we did not have a dog of our own. In 2008, we were ready to welcome a dog into our family, which includes our two rescue cats, Lea and Sophia. Wyatt the Bloodhound flew in from Toronto from Mason Kennels to San Francisco International Airport in late March 2008, and immediately joined our family and CJPSS pack! Soon after Wyatt came into our home, he began socializing with dogs and cats of many varieties, learned car manners, became crate trained, learned recall (being able to go off leash and return when called--challenging for a bloodhound), and graduated from Dr. Ian Dunbar’s Sirius Dog Training Puppy Obedience I & II courses. We proudly utilize Dr. Ian Dunbar’s book “Before and After Getting Your Puppy”, which we consider our puppy bible, and recommend it to everyone we know who has a dog or works with them. Today, Wyatt is approaching his fourth year of life and many of our clients, colleagues, and their dogs have bonded with and become wonderful friends with Wyatt the bloodhound. Wyatt has continued his education as an adult dog with dog obedience, tracking and trailing, and with CARDA (California Rescue Dog Association) training and volunteering as a search and rescue dog. Wyatt is currently working on receiving his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) certificate, and like most dogs is always practicing a good "sit". I am fortunate to be able to bring my dog-son to work with me daily. I currently belong to several local and online social networking pet-sitting groups, allowing me to connect with other pet care professionals both locally, and worldwide. I truly enjoy learning and experiencing new methodologies regarding dog and cat behavior with my colleagues and find being a dog and cat care provider an extremely rewarding and positively challenging job, where every day is a brand new adventure. I am blessed doing what I love, and working with like-minded individuals. Our clients are extended family and Wyatt and I find joy being part of theirs. We appreciate our job and will continue to excel at our passion in providing effective communication, care, knowledge, and safety for your dog or cat. Thank you again for visiting our site and we look forward to meeting with your cat or dog real soon. Thanks for all your support last year! Josephine & Wyatt the Bloodhound!
